REMBRANDT BUGATTI Sculptor, a lightning path, Repertoire monographique, is a hardcover book of 392 full color pages with 400 illustrations that presents the bronze work of the sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti (1884 - 1916).
Rembrandt Bugatti was born October 16th, 1884 in Milan, Italy. He is the youngest son of the architect and designer Carlo Bugatti (designer and manufacturer of extraordinary furniture) brother of Dejanice Bugatti car manufacturer Ettore Bugatti, Jean Bugatti's uncle. Its name was chosen by his godfather Giovanni Segantini.
In 1903, aged 19, Rembrandt moved to Paris, the city whose influence attracts all modern artists of the early twentieth century. He joined the French editor and founder of art Adrien Aurélien Hébrard. Known for his animal sculptures - he works at the Antwerp zoo or the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. he also fashioned his contemporaries in clay, men and women, with his own sensitivity... stylized forms, strong and of a great modernity. Power and modernity of cubist forms, his works early announced what will become the Art-Deco.
Disappeared at thirty-one years, Rembrandt Bugatti worked less than fifteen years... Today we realize the importance of his work: hard worker, he left more than 300 sculptures. and the greatest collectors are seeking his works with passion.

This superb monograph presents all 300 works of the artist.
With this book, the author establishes a new catalog raisonne, corrected and complete. Similarly, the iconography has been revised and enriched with new documents.

REMBRANDT BUGATTI Sculpteur, une trajectoire foudroyante, Répertoire monographique, est un ouvrage de 392 pages couleurs avec plus de 400 illustrations qui présente l'oeuvre du sculpteur Rembrandt Bugatti (1884 - 1916).
Rembrandt Bugatti est né le 16 octobre 1884 à Milan en Italie. Il est le plus jeune fils du décorateur et architecte Carlo Bugatti (créateur et fabricant de mobiliers extraordinaires), le frère de Dejanice Bugatti et du constructeur automobile Ettore Bugatti, l'oncle de Jean Bugatti. Son prénom fut choisi par son parrain Giovanni Segantini.
En 1903, son père signe pour lui le contrat que lui fait le fondeur Adrien-Aurélien Hébrard : Rembrandt n'est en effet pas majeur ! Animalier, il travaille au zoo d'Anvers ou au Jardin des Plantes à Paris. Mais ses semblables ne le laissent pas indifférent et il modèle également dans l'argile des hommes musculeux ou des femmes graciles. Puissance de la touche fauve, modernité des formes cubistes, son art annonce très tôt ce que sera l'Art déco.
Disparu à trente et un ans, Rembrandt Bugatti a travaillé moins de quinze ans... On se rend compte aujourd'hui de l'importance de son oeuvre : travailleur acharné, il a laissé plus de 300 sculptures et les plus grands collectionneurs recherchent ses oeuvres avec passion.

Ce superbe répertoire monographique présente l'ensemble des oeuvres de l'artiste.
L'auteur établit dans cet ouvrage un nouveau catalogue raisonné, corrigé et plus complet. De même, l'iconographie a été revue et enrichie de nouveaux documents.
